Screening and participatory conversation [Screening starts at 17.45]
A screening of Chto Delat’s newest film production „One Night“ and a conversation with Dmitry Vilensky, a founding member of the St. Petersburg collective Chto Delat. „One Night“ deals with topics of emotionality, (mis-)judgement, saturation via social media and fake news. The conversation that will start between Dmitry Vilensky and Anastasia Chaguidouline will organically and directly address and involve the audience as it evolves. The conversation touches, among others, upon emotion, current political climate(s) and smileys.
Dmitry Vilensky (born 1964) is a Russian artist, writer and activist. He is a founding member of the platform Chto Delat / What is to be done. Chto Delat is a collective of philosophers, writers, curators, artists, critics, among others that merge art, activism and political theory. Vilensky is also an editor of the Chto Delat newspaper. The collective Chto Delat / What is to be done was founded in early 2003 in St. Petersburg, Russia. The members of the collective strongly position themselves as internationalists, demanding the recognition of equality of all people; and feminists, positioned against all forms of gender inequality, homophobia and patriarchy.
Filmvorführung und partizipatives Gespräch Im Rahmen des „Choreographing the Public“ [Filmvorführung beginnt um 17.45]
Im Rahmen des „Choreographing the Public“ Programms und der Freitagreihe Curatorial Talks des MAS in Curating an der ZHdK, Zürich. Vorführung von Chto Delats neustem Film „One Night“ und ein Gespräch mit Dmitry Vilensky, einem Gründungsmitglied des St. Petersburger Kollektivs Chto Delat. „One Night“ / „Eine Nacht“ beschäftigt sich mit den Facetten der Emotionalität, des (Fehl-) Urteils, der Überflutung durch soziale Medien und fake news. Das Gespräch beginnt zwischen Dmitry Vilensky und Anastasia Chaguidouline und wird schrittweise das Publikum direkt ansprechen und dialogisch involvieren. Das Gespräch handelt unter anderem von Gefühl, aktuellen politischen Lage(n) und Smileys.
Dmitry Vilensky (*1964) ist ein russischer Künstler, Schriftsteller und Aktivist. Er ist Gründungsmitglied der Plattform Chto Delat / Was tun. Chto Delat ist ein Kollektiv von unter anderen Philosophen, Schriftstellern, Kuratoren, Künstlern, Kritikern, das Kunst, Aktivismus und politische Theorie vereint. Vilensky ist ebenfalls Redakteur der Zeitung Chto Delat. Das Kollektiv wurde Anfang 2003 in St. Petersburg, Russland gegründet. Die Kollektivmitglieder positionieren sich stark als Internationalisten, die die Anerkennung der Gleichheit aller Menschen fordern; und FeministInnen, die sich gegen alle Formen von Geschlechterungleichheit, Homophobie und Patriarchat stellen.
