The exhibition delves into the history of Swiss dance through a curated selection of archival videos and interviews with influential choreographers. Presented in collaboration with the Swiss Foundation of the Performing Arts (SAPA), this exhibition bridges the legacies of significant historical figures with unique contemporary contributions.

On view during the ZHdK Diploma Show, Dance Reimagined: From Past to Present highlights Swiss dance heritage through a curated selection of archival videos and interviews with influential choreographers. Presented in collaboration with the Swiss Foundation of the Performing Arts (SAPA), this exhibition bridges the legacies of significant historical figures with unique contemporary contributions. The exhibition with present works by Anna Huber, Sigurd Leeder, Anna Röthlisberger, Belinda Wright, and Jelko Yuresha. Dance Reimagined will also feature video interviews with Marianne Forster, Aenne Goldschmidt, and Noemi Lapzeson, providing a deeper understanding of their artistic practice and personal experiences through their commitment to dance.

An informal discussion will be held with active members of the Swiss dance scene, including dancers, choreographers, and institutional leaders. The talk aims to spark conversations among multiple generations, practices, and identities, all contributing their voices as artistic producers in Switzerland. This exhibition is part of What’s Dance Got To Do With It, a multifaceted event series that will also present immersive dance performances in the public spaces of Toni-Areal, as well as an afternoon of complimentary dance classes at Tanzhaus. The accessible and participatory program strives to connect diverse audiences to the rich tapestry of dance, while fostering a robust multidisciplinary cultural network. Join us on this captivating journey where dance becomes a conduit for cultural  exchange, human connection, and artistic exploration.
