Society of Nature (SoN) is a curatorial platform that assembles multiple perspectives through artistic and design agencies. SoN aims to create awareness of other forms of knowledge production by investigating natural resources and organic forms and bringing them into a constellation of realities where human and non-human borders are blurred. SoN explores practices of seeing and hearing as active forms of social engagement and creation of conscious participation between the multiplicity of natural and social assemblages.
The project is conceived as experimental fieldwork, a space to coexist, cooperate and exchange ideas by turning our gaze towards the terrestrial: the view from our body.
The online Symposium ‘Where is Nature?’ is an introduction to the Society of Nature Exhibition, that will present the work of seven artists and designers. The exhibition will take place in June 2021 from the 3rd until the 19th at the OnCurating Project Space in Zurich.
Society of Nature is a project curated by Arianna Guidi, in collaboration with Nomadic Shapes, VIKA and Looking Forward and supported by Culture Ireland and the OnCurating Project Space in Zurich.

Society of Nature (SoN) ist eine kuratorische Plattform, die verschiedene Perspektiven durch künstlerische und Design-Agenturen zusammenbringt. SoN zielt darauf ab, ein Bewusstsein für andere Formen der Wissensproduktion zu schaffen, indem natürliche Ressourcen und organische Formen untersucht und in eine Konstellation von Realitäten gebracht werden, in der menschliche und nicht-menschliche Grenzen verwischt werden. Das Projekt ist als experimentelle Feldforschung konzipiert, ein Raum für Koexistenz, Kooperation und Ideenaustausch, indem wir unseren Blick auf das Irdische richten: den Blick aus unserem Körper.
Das Online-Symposium ‚Where is Nature?‘ ist eine Einführung in die Society of Nature-Ausstellung, die die Arbeit von sieben Künstlern und Designern präsentieren wird. Die Ausstellung findet im Juni 2021 vom 3. bis 19. Juni im OnCurating Project Space in Zürich statt.
