This workshop toils with fermentation as a process of decomposition and a way for reviving in another dimension. For the artist, kombucha plows with a multilayered system of nutrients, oxigen, tea, sugar, and in a way alchemy due to its healing properties. During this workshop, we will understand the inner meanings of decomposition and its need for a tangible medium, the use of memory and playfulness as means for communality.
Leticia Cordero (b. 1990, Mexico City, Mexico) lives and works in Bern. She studied Visual Arts and a diploma in Choreography, Dance and Performance, as well as Theatre Production and Somatic Practices in México City. She studied her Master’s degree in Expanded Theatre in the University of Arts in Bern with the support of the Excellence Scholarships of the Swiss Government for Foreign Scholars and Artists. She has also received IMPACT 21, Urgent Translations in Essen, PACT Zollverein (2021); Associate Students / Early-Stage Researchers (BA & MA level) Latin American Center Zurich; Residency in the Centro de Investigación Montaña y Arte, CIMA.Argentina (2019); Residency in MARCO ARTE FOCO, Fundación Tres Pinos. Argentina (2019); Recipient of the Stipend for Artistic Residency Program in Special Modality, FONCA. México (2018); Residency about Management, collaboration and organization modes with Stefan Hilterhaus and Ilona Goyeneche, Independent Art Space La Serpiente. Mexico (2017); Recipient and resident of the Art Laboratory in Independent Art Space La Quiñonera. México (2013) .Her research embraces the body as a place to reflect epistemic notions of feminised entities and the ideal of nature. She works through sound and objects and produces fictional worlds in the pursuit of make them bloom in the material world -flowery word-.She was a resident in CIMA| Mountain and Art Research in Catamarca Argentina with the support of the FONCA (Cultural Fund for Culture and Arts) of Mexico. There, she developed the second part of her research dealing with water named Which story does the water prefer to be told? She has been also resident in MARCO ARTE FOCO in Argentina and No Lugar in Ecuador, among others.Her current research and artistic project is dedicated to appropriation, collection and mingling as habits to destabilise the western notion of movement, sound and thought.

Dieser Workshop beschäftigt sich mit der Fermentation als Prozess der Zersetzung und als Weg zur Wiederbelebung in einer anderen Dimension. Für die Künstlerin ist Kombucha ein vielschichtiges System aus Nährstoffen, Sauerstoff, Tee, Zucker und in gewisser Weise Alchemie aufgrund seiner heilenden Eigenschaften. In diesem Workshop werden wir die innere Bedeutung der Zersetzung und ihr Bedürfnis nach einem greifbaren Medium, die Verwendung von Erinnerung und Spiel als Mittel zur Gemeinschaftlichkeit verstehen.
Leticia Cordero (geb. 1990, Mexiko-Stadt, Mexiko) lebt und arbeitet in Bern. Sie studierte Bildende Kunst und ein Diplom in Choreografie, Tanz und Performance, sowie Theaterproduktion und somatische Praktiken in Mexiko-Stadt. Sie studierte ihren Master in Expanded Theatre an der Hochschule der Künste in Bern mit Unterstützung der Exzellenzstipendien der Schweizer Regierung für ausländische Wissenschaftler und Künstler. Mexiko (2017); Stipendiat und Resident des Art Laboratory im Independent Art Space La Quiñonera. Ihre Forschung umfasst den Körper als einen Ort, an dem sie epistemische Vorstellungen von weiblichen Wesen und dem Ideal der Natur reflektiert. Sie arbeitet mit Klang und Objekten und erschafft fiktive Welten in dem Bestreben, diese in der materiellen Welt zum Blühen zu bringen – blumiges Wort -. Sie war Stipendiatin der CIMA| Mountain and Art Research in Catamarca, Argentinien, mit Unterstützung des FONCA (Kulturfonds für Kultur und Kunst) von Mexiko. Dort entwickelte sie den zweiten Teil ihrer Forschung zum Thema Wasser mit dem Titel Welche Geschichte möchte das Wasser erzählt bekommen? Ihr aktuelles Forschungs- und Kunstprojekt widmet sich der Aneignung, dem Sammeln und der Vermischung von Gewohnheiten, um die westliche Vorstellung von Bewegung, Klang und Gedanken zu destabilisieren.
