Multi-part exhibition project
The OnCurating Project Space is pleased to present ‘stories of water’, a project that began with its first chapter in November 2022. Chapter I aimed to navigate a number of multifaceted topics concerning water, with a particular emphasis on topics such as appropriation, feminism, migratory channels and politics.
The journey of ‘stories of water’ continues on three further dates with one exhibition a month from January to March 2023 (27 Jan, 24 Feb, 24 Mar). The project features a series of interventions by different creators ranging from video works and performance art to installations and seminars, in collaboration with the postgraduate students in Curating from the ZHdK.
Through each chapter, the project aims to explore complex and pressing topics using water as a ‘lens’ through which to understand the ways in which it is both the fundamental source of life, as well as an ungovernable matter that manifests, both within it and around it, countless myths.

Der OnCurating Project Space freut sich, das Projekt „Stories of Water“ zu präsentieren, das im November 2022 mit seinem ersten Kapitel begann. Das erste Kapitel hatte zum Ziel, eine Reihe von vielschichtigen Themen rund um das Thema Wasser zu beleuchten, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf Themen wie Aneignung, Feminismus, Migrationskanäle und Politik.
Die Reise der „Geschichten des Wassers“ wird an drei weiteren Terminen mit einer Ausstellung pro Monat von Januar bis März 2023 fortgesetzt (27. Januar, 24. Februar, 24. März). Das Projekt wird eine Reihe von Interventionen verschiedener Kunstschaffender umfassen, die von Videoarbeiten und Performance-Kunst bis hin zu Installationen und Seminaren reichen und in Zusammenarbeit mit den Postgraduierten-Studierenden der ZHdK im Fach Kuratieren entstanden sind.
In jedem Kapitel sollen komplexe und drängende Themen erforscht werden, wobei Wasser als „Linse“ verwendet wird, durch die man die Art und Weise verstehen kann, in der es sowohl die grundlegende Quelle des Lebens als auch eine unkontrollierbare Materie ist, die sowohl in ihm als auch um es herum unzählige Mythen manifestiert.
