The installation „How can we pratice #radicalwelcoming?“ is a process-based search for communal methodologies on how to practice Radical Welcoming. The installation follows the work „Where to belong?“, which consists of a collection of questions gathered by Club La Fafa in personal conversations with new arrivals in Switzerland. The questions address the personal structural challenges refugees and newcomers face on a daily basis.
The installation „How can we pratice #radicalwelcoming?“ is an invitation to all of you to imagine how a polyphonic radical welcoming culture can be shaped and lived. We seek a dialogue that challenges our own perception and opens up new perspectives on the topics and fields of action of flight and migration.
The Club La Fafa (French colloquial for family) was founded on the occasion of the „Refaire Le Monde“ (2018) exhibition at the Helmhaus Zurich and brings together people with and without migration and/or refugee experience as well as various forms of everyday (implicit) knowledges . Along the line of friendship, love, care and empathy, Club La Fafa is looking for common interests and activities that can enable social imagination and a sensibilising togetherness in a (post)migrant society.
Club La Fafa are Yaqoob Atal, Nadja Baldini, Hicham El Khemisi, Rahimullah Mohammadi, Ali Omar, Raphael Perret, Jawed Stanikzai, Jana Vanecek. For each project, Club La Fafa collaborates with various associates.

Die Installation „How can we pratice #radicalwelcoming?“ ist eine prozessbasierte Suche nach gemeinschaftlichen Methoden, wie man radikale Willkommenskultur praktizieren kann. Die Installation folgt auf die Arbeit „Where to belong?“, die aus einer Sammlung von Fragen besteht, die der Club La Fafa in persönlichen Gesprächen mit Neuankömmlingen in der Schweiz gesammelt hat. Die Fragen befassen sich mit den persönlichen strukturellen Herausforderungen, mit denen Flüchtlinge und Ankommende täglich konfrontiert sind.
Die Installation „How can we pratice #radicalwelcoming?“ ist eine Einladung an alle, sich vorzustellen, wie eine vielstimmige radikale Willkommenskultur gestaltet und gelebt werden kann. Wir suchen einen Dialog, der die eigene Wahrnehmung hinterfragt und neue Perspektiven auf die Themen und Handlungsfelder von Flucht und Migration eröffnet.
Der Club La Fafa (französisch umgangssprachlich für Familie) wurde anlässlich der Ausstellung „Refaire Le Monde“ (2018) im Helmhaus Zürich gegründet und bringt Menschen mit und ohne Migrations- und/oder Fluchterfahrung sowie verschiedene Formen von (implizitem) Alltagswissen zusammen.
Entlang der Linie von Freundschaft, Liebe, Fürsorge und Empathie sucht Club La Fafa nach gemeinsamen Interessen und Aktivitäten, die soziale Phantasie und ein sensibilisierendes Miteinander in einer (post)migrantischen Gesellschaft ermöglichen.
Club La Fafa sind Yaqoob Atal, Nadja Baldini, Hicham El Khemisi, Rahimullah Mohammadi, Ali Omar, Raphael Perret, Jawed Stanikzai, Jana Vanecek. Für jedes Projekt arbeitet der Club La Fafa mit verschiedenen Partner*innen zusammen.
